ABOUT RON
Ron Wrobel is a Travel and Tourism Professional with over 20 years of industry experience. Ron has spent the last 10 years working in Travel and Tourism associations, including Visit Orlando, Orlando’s Convention and Visitors Bureau. While at Visit Orlando, Ron served as the primary point of contact for more than 1,200 hospitality and tourism organizations, which provided over $70 billion in annual economic impact in Central Florida. Prior to taking this position, he served as the Director of Marketing and Membership for the Bar Harbor, Maine Chamber of Commerce.
Earlier in his career, Ron worked for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. There, he oversaw more than 300 employees while managing the Main Entrance to the Magic Kingdom, coordinated events with more than 25,000 guests each, and spearheaded initiatives in time management, leadership, hospitality management, and operations training education.
A native of Bar Harbor, Maine, home of Acadia National Park and the tourism capital of the state, Ron earned his degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine at Presque Isle, where he was a third generation student. Outside the office, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his husband Corey and their dog Kira. He is a devout fan of Star Trek.
